The Rhydspence Inn
The Inn
The Rhydspence Inn has been welcoming guests for over 600 years. The inn you see now was built in the 1580s, with a new wing added about 50 years ago.
The Inn is situated in Herefordshire – but the stream running along the edge of the garden marks the border with Wales. The famous book town of Hay-on-Wye is just 4 miles away and we enjoy magnificent views. There are a number of great walks from the pub and there is a canoe centre close by.
We will offer you a warm welcome and provide a friendly environment in which you can relax and explore.
The Rhydspence Inn has 7 guest rooms, each with its own style – from a four-poster bed in the original 16th century hall, a stone-walled suite to our largest room with panoramic views on three sides, overlooking the Wye Valley.
There is ample parking.

Out of the kitchen you might find Freddy walking the dog, clay pigeon shooting or having a beer and a chat with customers.
